This year, YES Meeting brings you a completely new Social Programme: a Self Defense Workshop. The most obvious reason for taking this workshop is that you want to be prepared to defend yourself if you’re ever in immediate danger. But this workshop is about more than that. It’s about thinking clearly in very intense situations. It’s about gaining the confidence to better control situations that might otherwise be completely out of your control. It’s about self-discipline and self-respect.

Port Wine is a representative symbol of Portugal, known worldwide for its unique taste and quality. It is produced in the Douro Valley, one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful vineyard areas, where wine has been made for at least two thousand years.
You will have the chance to visit the old Port Wine Cellars, learning more about the Port Wine, its history and flavour!
Are you a Harry Potter’s fan, a baroque enthusiast or are you simply eager to relish the city of Porto from one of its most well known Ex Libris? This is the social programme for you. Starting at Clérigos Tower and Museum, you’ll get to soak in the 360º breathtaking view over the city of Porto from the top of the Tower - but prepare yourself for a about 230 steep steps climb, the most rewarding achievement of the day! Arriving at Lello’s bookshop, you might have a déjà vu, since this sumptuous place was J.K Rowling’s inspiration for the Harry Potter’s books and was recognized as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world by Time magazine, CNN and The Guardian newspaper. In the end, you’ll be able to enjoy a moment to rest and relax at a very special place!
This year, YES Meeting brings you a completely new Social Programme: a Padel Game.
Padel is a mix between tennis and squash that combines action with fun and social interaction. If Padel already conquered your heart, this is the perfect social programme for you. If you never tried it, did you know that most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing?

Rabelo boats are traditional boats that still today transport wine barrels through the Douro River. Douro River is one of the major rivers of the Iberian Peninsula, whose source is in Spain and outlet at Oporto. As you travel around the river in these boats, you will have the opportunity of sight in a privileged perspective the Oporto city and Vila Nova de Gaia, separated by the river, and the wonderful bridges across these two cities. At the end of the boat trip you will also have the opportunity to try some tradicional Porto Wine.
Considered to be of the most successful Portuguese cultural projects, Fundação Serralves is a must-visit in the city of Porto.
