CURIOUS CASES IN CARDIOLOGY

Workshop’s Description:

We all know the importance that an ECG plays in our daily basis. It is often the first exam made when there is suspicion of cardiac disease and still offers precious hints about the past to follow for definite diagnosis and treatment. This being said, besides explaining the main basic ideas that allow for a correct interpretation of this exam, this workshop will also focus in approaching more rare diseases and curious cases that occurred in a cardiology center.

No lab coat is required!

  • Filipe Macedo, MD PhD – Head of Ecocardiografic Unit, CHSJoão; Internship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA, in the laboratory of Echocardiography; Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology; Member of the Scientific Council of the Portuguese Journal of Cardiology
  • Roberto Pinto, MD – 4th year Cardiology Resident, Cardiology Department CHSJoão; Assistant Phamarcology Teacher, Oporto Medical School; special interest in acute and intensive cardiac care and interventional cardiology.
