The sightseeing tour by bus will help you uncover the beauty and the history of Porto, departing from the centre of Porto and following the riverside road through Passeio Alegre all the way to Foz do Douro. You will see Palácio de Cristal, Casa da Música, Avenida da Boavista, Fundação de Serralves, Castelo do Queijo, Anémona and the amazing beaches of Porto and Matosinhos.
This walking tour guided by a portuguese arquitect will make you look at the city as you never did. You will have the opportunity to visit Sé do Porto and Casa do Infante, as well as other historical places of the city. Discover the mysterious secrets, monuments, people and streets of Porto, live our colours and feel our atmosphere.
The second edition of this social program allows the 12th YES Meeting participants to taste the flavours, scents and pleasures of the Portuguese gastronomy. This walking tour gives you the chance to visit the most famous avenues and squares in downtown Porto and Ribeira and enjoy famous snacks of various places of the city. Portuguese cuisine is as rich and varied as its landscape, and that is what makes this program a unique experience.
World of Discoveries is an interactive museum and thematic park that recreates the odyssey throughout the immense and unknown world, meeting with the Portuguese navigators. Portugal played a leading role in this process for centuries, creating new maritime routes and circulating people, animals and plants all around the world. Here you can learn about this incredible meeting of cultures and the ambition, ideas, endeavour and innovation that made it possible.
Since Serralves is an iconic place in Porto that pleases its visitors so much, we bring it to you once again in the 12th edition. You will have the opportunity to see the sculptures of the Serralves Permanent Collection. Then, it will be possible to visit the Park, a privileged opportunity to appreciate the wide diversity of trees and shrubs, constituted by roughly 200 species and a variety of autochthonous and ornamental exotic plants, with an amazing view.
This program will give you the opportunity to visit not only the Museum but also the Stadium of FC Porto itself. In the Dragão Stadium, the FC Porto Museum includes the Intercontinental Cup, UEFA Cup and European Super Cup. From its origins to the future, the trip at the Museum is laced in three centuries of history and you can do it beyond time and space, with a guaranteed emotional dimension of a unique story. The Stadium, built in mind for Euro 2004, is part of an exclusive number of stadiums rated five stars by UEFA.
A National Monument, Palácio da Bolsa is the property and headquarters of the Commercial Association of Porto. Designed in a neoclassical style in 1842 and situated in the historical centre, it is one of the most visited monuments with the famous Arabian Room being its major highlight. Outside it is possible to see Ferreira Borges Market and the 14th century gothic St. Francis Church. This trip will end in São Bento train station, built in 1900 and certainly the most famous railway station of the city.
Rabelo boats are traditional boats that still today transport wine barrels through the Douro River. Douro River is one of the major rivers of the Iberian Peninsula, whose source is in Spain and outlet at Oporto. As you travel around the river in these boats, you will have the opportunity of sight in a privileged perspective the Oporto city and Vila Nova de Gaia, separated by the river, and the wonderful bridges across these two cities.
Port Wine is produced in the mountainous eastern reaches of the Douro Valley in northern Portugal, one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful vineyard areas where wine has been made for at least two thousand years. The Port wine vineyards of the Douro became the first vineyard area in the world to be legally demarcated.
You will be given the opportunity to visit the Port Wine Cellars, an unforgettable experience in which you can learn more about the Port Wine, its history and tradition.
The Porto Cruise Terminal (South Cruise Terminal) is the largest project ever for the opening of the Port of Leixões to the city and an important gateway of the region. It is situated at the South Mole of the Port of Leixões, just 3 Km from the city of Porto.Since April 2011, the new pier with 340 metres of length has received the biggest and the most glamorous cruise ships from the worldwide cruise fleet, boosting the cruise tourism in the North of Portugal region.
