The YES Meeting is an international conference built by a group of students in Porto, Portugal; its major purpose is to provide a global platform of scientific and cultural exchange to biomedical students all over the world.
Held at the Faculty of Medicine of University of Porto, the 12th edition of the congress will take place from the 14th to the 17th of September 2017.
With almost 500 participants from more than 20 different nationalities registered last year, the YES Meeting is expanding. Find out how you can participate in this international event!
As a Presenting Student
If you are currently developing a research work in the biomedical field, do not miss the opportunity to present your work to world renowned scientists and young researchers! With three types of presentation (Plenary Session, Parallel Sessions and Poster Presentations), this is a unique chance to share science. Presenting Students are granted with full access to our 8 Scientific Lectures, 3 different Workshops, the Clinical Competition and a Social Programme to discover the humble city of Porto. The abstract submission period will be open from March 1st to June 12th 2017.

As a Non-Presenting Student
Not developing a research work at the moment but still enthusiastic about attending lectures given by world-class scientists? You can register as a Non-Presenting Student!This type of participating gives you access to the 12th edition 8 Scientific Lectures: Molecular Biology, a Special Scientific Session (to be revealed), Surgery, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Psycopathology and two Lasker Award Sessions! So much variety during four days! The fee also includes participation in 3 different Workshops, the Clinical Competition and the Social Programme.
The registration period for the 12th YES Meeting will open on the 1st of June 2017.
Stay with Us
The Stay with Us Programme is a component of the YES Meeting designed to provide accommodation for foreign participants with the help of local students. It aims to create an opportunity to learn from each other, exchange cultural traditions and enjoy the congress and the city’s spirit with the company of locals, while facilitating the access to the congress for the hosts.

The 12th YES Meeting Task Force is exclusively composed of FMUP students. Its main function is to support the Organizing Committee with the logistic issues related to the congress, namely Scientific Sessions, Workshops, Presenting Student’s Sessions, coffee-breaks, Social Programme and check-in. The Task Force members have a valuable role before and during the YES Meeting.
